Verbs in past tense: We use the verb in past tense to talk about past actions.

Spelling rule: if the verb ends in t/te/ or d/de you pronounce /id/

*If the verb ends in consonant + Y we change the Y to ied.  TURNED
*If the verb ends in “e” we just add “d”
*Some verbs ending in vowel + consonant we double the last consonant
